Shastri Sisters — Chaar Dil Ek Dhadkan (English: Shastri Sisters — Four Hearts, One Beat) commonly abbreviated as Shastri Sisters is an Indian television series, which aired from 21 July 2014 till 8 August 2015 on Colors TV. The show stars Ishita Ganguly, Sonal Vengurlekar, Vijayendra Kumeria, and Sumit Bhardwaj[2][3] as leads. The show's plot revolves around the lives of four sisters as they make their journey from Kanpur to Delhi.

Shastri Sisters is the story of four sisters Alka (Neha Pednekar), Anushka (Ishita Ganguly), Devyani (Sonal Vengurlekar), and Pia (Pragati Chourasiya) who live with their father Narayana Shastri (Rajesh Jais), in Kanpur. Alka is in love with a man from their neighbourhood named Rajeev (Sumit Verma), but Narayana Shastri (father) gets a job transfer and hence the family has to move to Delhi where they live as tenants with the Sareen family of four - Surinder Sareen, his wife Minti Sareen, and their sons Indian Air Force Pilot Rajat Sareen, and the vagabond Neel Sareen.
Alka soon turns Rajeev away and marries a kind and supporting man Rohan. Anushka is a simple girl who eventually falls in love with Rajat, who is taken by her simplicity at first sight. Meanwhile, Devyani, a self-obsessed diva, has also fallen in love with Rajat and turns bitter towards Anushka, while rejecting Neel who loves her.
Karishma, Rajat's former friend, tries to create misunderstandings between Anushka and Rajat, but Neel and Devyani defeat her. They themselves are betrothed, but Neel is forced to marry Minti's friend's daughter Kajal, as planned by Minti who does not approve of Devyani. Kajal is however revealed to be greedy and after the Sareen's money, and pushes Anushka off a cliff in order to benefit. A lookalike of Rajat is shown at the venue, who ignores Anushka.
1 Year Later[edit]
An imposter who is a terrorist, is living with the Sareens as Rajat. Neel still loves Devyani. Anushka is rescued by Dr. Raghav, recovers, but is still kept as a patient. She manages to escape, but sees Devyani and the impostor married as Rajat. Anushka and Alka bring Rajat home and get the terrorist arrested.
The show ends after showing Anushka remarried to Rajat.

Actor Ssudeep Sahir who played the lead role in the ZEE TV show, Woh Apna Sa is all set to exit the serial. Anyways, the show is slated to go off air from next month but Ssudeep apparently made up his mind to quit right away. He played the role of a married businessman Aditya who falls in love with another woman played by Disha Parmar. The original show was the story of an extramarital relationship that brings happiness in a man's life but the plot has gone haywire in recent times with supernatural elements and what not. It seems the actor has conveyed to the makers his decision and he'll shoot his last scene this week.
However, sources have told ABP Live that he is unhappy with how the track and his character is progressing on the show. Post the leap, he plays the part of Arjun. From supernatural elements to witches, the new track was full of loopholes. It seems Ssudeep is very dissatisfied with the show. The makers will show that he has left the city. There is no replacement for the character of Arjun now. The show was produced under the banner of Alchemy Films. However, Sidharth P Malhotra, the producer backed out in 2017 saying that he did not have funds to take it further. People have liked the lead actors performances in the original, especially Ridhi Dogra's as Nisha. Stay tuned to BL for more updates!
